Experience the golden age of Jet Setter glamour when Palm Springs was a destination for the globe trotting elite always looking for their next playground.
Join us at William Cody’s masterpiece, the Abernathy Residence, a Class 1 historic site built in 1962. Designed for millionaire socialite James Logan Abernathy, this beautiful modernist estate is considered one of Cody’s “masterworks,” re-imagining one of Richard Neutra’s pinwheel floor plans as a soaring pavilion-style home designed for entertaining and lavish parties that takes full advantage of the outdoors and the beautiful desert evenings.
Step back with the Palm Springs Modern Committee to a time when a suntan was considered a sign of health and wealth, “influencers” didn’t have to tell you they were influencers and money was a dirty word as long as you had plenty of it!
The Palm Springs Modern Committee (PS ModCom) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of Desert Modern architecture and design.
