Original promotional materials for the iconic Seven Lakes Golf and Country Club, an expansive 1960s community of 341 homes designed by architect Richard Harrison of Wexler/Harrison, spoke of its "serenity, privacy and carefree living" and christened it "the gem of the desert!"
More than fifty years later, Seven Lakes is revered for its distinctive midcentury design - long low rooflines, ten-foot walls of glass, private courtyards and gorgeous "shadow block" walls whose patterns change with the angles of the sun.
This lively tour begins with check-in beyond the guarded gates at the iconic William Cody-designed clubhouse. Then our guests will stroll across the lush grounds and Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole executive course (where President Eisenhower hit his only hole-in-one). Seven Lake's 120 acres feature fifteen large swimming pools and spectacular views of the San Jacinto mountains.
Our guests will visit a specially-curated group of homes - epitomizing midcentury style but decorated with the personal stamp of each owner. Seven Lakes includes a neighborhood of 60 stacked flat homes, two of which are included on the tour. All of these dazzling interiors will inspire you with the many facets of Palm Springs modernism.
