A Glamorous Evening with Nelda Linsk from “Poolside Gossip”
Iconic and glamorous are the best words to describe Palm Springs icon Nelda Linsk. Nelda was a longtime friend of photographer Slim Aarons and lived in the legendary Richard Neutra designed Kaufmann House pictured in the famous “Poolside Gossip” photograph.
It was a beautiful day in January of 1970 in Palm Springs when Nelda hosted an impromptu party with some friends, including Helen Dzo Dzo (Kaptur), Lita Baron, and photographer Slim Aarons. Now, this photograph of two friends sitting poolside at the Kaufmann House has become immortalized as one of the most iconic symbols of the Palm Springs lifestyle.
Please join Nelda Linsk in conversation as she takes us back to 1970s Palm Springs, with time for a Q&A.
Also, be the first to see a special collaboration between Dunn-Edwards and Grace Home Furnishings - a curated paint color collection inspired by the city of Palm Springs and “Poolside Gossip.” Hors d'oeuvres and drinks are included with purchase of a ticket.
